Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) unveils its first electric vehicles, the Activa e: and QC1, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, marking its entry into the Indian EV market. Bookings open January 1, 2025, with deliveries starting in February 2025. The company aims to contribute to sustainable mobility with these models, supporting Honda's global carbon neutrality goals. The Activa e: features swappable battery technology, while the QC1 has a fixed battery setup. Both models will be manufactured at HMSI's Narsapura plant.

Both the Activa e: and QC1 will be sold through selected Honda dealerships. The Activa e: will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, while the QC1 will initially launch in select cities. Deliveries for both models commence in February 2025.

Honda's Triple Action to ZERO

Activa e:

The Activa e: combines the familiar Activa design with modern elements. It features all-LED headlights, tail lamps, and DRLs. Other design features include dual-tone seats, 12-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, a flat footboard, and a grabrail.

The Activa e: will be available in two variants: Activa e: and Activa e: Honda RoadSync Duo®. Five color options will be offered: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, and Pearl Igneous Black.

The Activa e: boasts a 7.0-inch TFT screen with real-time connectivity through the Honda RoadSync Duo® app. The infotainment system supports navigation and includes day and night modes. Handlebar-mounted toggle switches control the TFT screen. The scooter also features Honda's H-Smart key with Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock, and Smart Start functions.

The Activa e: utilises swappable Honda Mobile Power Pack e: batteries, managed by Honda Power Pack Energy India Pvt. Ltd. Two 1.5 kWh batteries provide a range of 102 km on a full charge. These batteries can be exchanged at designated Honda Power Pack Exchanger e: (BeX) swapping stations. These stations are currently operational in Bengaluru and Delhi, with plans to expand to Mumbai.

The Activa e: is powered by a 6 kW peak power electric motor generating 22 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 60 km/h in 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of 80 km/h. Three riding modes are available: Econ, Standard, and Sport.

Honda QC1

The Honda QC1 offers a sleek design with LED headlights, tail lamps, and clear winkers. It is available in five colors: Pearl Serenity Blue, Pearl Misty White, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic, Pearl Igneous Black, and Pearl Shallow Blue. It features stylish rear-view mirrors, a 12-inch front alloy wheel, and a sturdy grab rail.

The QC1 is equipped with a 1.5 kWh fixed battery pack, offering a range of 80 km on a single charge. It comes with a 330-watt off-board home charger with auto-cut technology. Charging from 0 to 80% takes 4 hours 30 minutes, while a full charge requires 6 hours 50 minutes.
