IndiGo on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against Mahindra Electric Automobile Limited over the use of "6E" in its new electric vehicle, the BE 6E.

The lawsuit, filed in the Delhi High Court, alleges trademark infringement.

The case was briefly before Justice Amit Bansal on Tuesday but the judge recused himself. The next hearing is scheduled for December 9. IndiGo's lawyer, Sandeep Sethi, told the court that Mahindra had contacted the airline to discuss the matter, according to the Bar and Bench report.
