Hero MotoCorp has launched its new Vida V2 electric scooter series, aiming to make electric vehicles more accessible and affordable. The V2 series comes in three variants – Lite, Plus, and Pro – with prices starting below INR 1 lakh. The launch expands Hero's EV offerings with advanced features and a focus on practicality and convenience.
The Vida V2 series is designed to appeal to a wide range of customers with its combination of style, performance, and affordability. It boasts features like keyless entry, cruise control, regenerative braking, and custom riding modes. The scooters also offer removable battery technology for easy charging and a range of up to 165 km, the company said in a media release.
Price
The Vida V2 Lite is priced at INR 96,000, the V2 Plus at INR 115,000, and the V2 Pro at INR 135,000. These are effective ex-showroom prices in Delhi, accounting for current subsidies.

Design
The Vida V2’s design is described as bold and contemporary, aiming for a distinctive appearance. The scooter’s engineering emphasises superior handling and a smooth ride with a finely tuned suspension. Rider comfort is prioritised through optimized ergonomics, balancing ride handling and performance. Two new color options are available: Matte Nexus Blue-Grey and Glossy Sports Red.
The Vida V2 series offers three battery configurations based on the variant. The V2 Pro features a 3.94 kWh battery, the V2 Plus has a 3.44 kWh battery, and the V2 Lite includes a 2.2 kWh battery. All battery packs are removable and can be charged at home to 80% capacity in under six hours.
Specifications and features
The scooters are powered by a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with a peak power of 6 kW and 25 Nm of torque. This allows the V2 to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 2.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 90 kmph. Four riding modes are available: Eco, Ride, Sport, and Custom (Custom mode is available on the Pro variant).
The Vida V2 series incorporates a 7-inch TFT touchscreen display. This provides access to navigation, vehicle telematics, battery state-of-charge, and other essential information. Cruise control is included for comfortable long rides. Keyless entry simplifies scooter access and operation. Advanced regenerative braking technology captures energy during deceleration to recharge the battery.
Hero MotoCorp is establishing a charging ecosystem for V2 customers. In addition to standard home chargers, riders have access to Vida's fast-charging network. This network includes over 3,100 charging points across more than 250 cities in India.
Hero MotoCorp provides a 5-year or 50,000 km vehicle warranty for the VIDA V2. The battery pack is covered by a 3-year or 30,000 km warranty. A network of over 500 service touchpoints across India supports VIDA customers.
