New Delhi: Nissan India to increase the price of the facelifted Magnite compact SUV by 2% as the introductory prices, applicable on the first 10,000 deliveries, end soon. The company launched the Magnite facelift at INR 5.99 lakh, ex-showroom, same as the starting price of the old model while bringing a refreshed design, enhanced features, and upgraded safety specifications. Though the powertrain options remain unchanged.
The Magnite continues to offer two engine variants. The first is a 1.0-litre B4D naturally aspirated petrol engine, producing 72PS and 96Nm of torque, while the second is a more powerful 1.0-litre HRA0 turbo-petrol engine, delivering 99PS and 160Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual (MT) and a 5-speed automated manual transmission (AMT) for the naturally aspirated variant, and a 5-speed manual and continuously variable transmission (CVT) for the turbo-petrol engine.
Exterior and design enhancements
The exterior of the Nissan Magnite facelift retains much of its original design, but with several notable updates. The front now features a more striking hexagon-patterned black grille, while the rear gets new M-shaped LED taillamps. The vehicle also boasts newly designed 16-inch alloy wheels, contributing to a more modern appearance. A standout addition to the colour palette is the new sunrise copper hue, which joins the existing options.
For international markets, the facelifted Magnite will be available in 13 colour choices, including eight monotone and five dual-tone variants, catering to a wide range of customer preferences.
Cabin features, comfort and safety upgradesThe facelifted Magnite features a three-tone colour scheme and new upholstery, along with soft-touch materials across the dashboard and door panels. The compact SUV is equipped with a new touchscreen infotainment system, a wireless charging pad, and an all-new configurable TFT instrument cluster.
One of the standout additions is a new air purifier system, which claims to reduce air quality from 400 AQI to 30 AQI in just 20 minutes. It also gets an auto-dimming frameless interior rear-view mirror (IRVM) and a 360-degree camera system. For safety, the Magnite facelift now offers six airbags as standard across all variants. It rivals the Tata Punch, Renault Kiger, Hyundai Exter, Toyota Taisor and the Maruti Suzuki Fronx.
