ThunderPlus, an EV charging solutions player, has entered a strategic partnership with Delta Electronics India, a global player in power and energy management to revolutionise India’s electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure.
This collaboration will introduce India’s first Make in India fast chargers for the low voltage market, specifically designed for two-wheelers (2W) and three-wheelers (3W). The chargers aim to support the rapidly growing EV ecosystem by meeting the unique needs of gig workers, e-commerce players, and OEMs across the country.
This partnership brings together Delta’s technological expertise in power solutions and ThunderPlus’ market leadership in EV charging systems. The chargers, developed with Delta’s advanced 4kW rectifier modules, are customizable and designed to meet India’s diverse requirements, making them a game-changer for the local EV market.
Rajeev YSR, CEO, ThunderPlus highlights the strategic importance of this collaboration "This partnership with Delta Electronics brings world-class technology to India’s low-voltage EV charging market. Our customizable chargers cater to the unique requirements of OEMs and end-users, ensuring efficient and seamless integration with their operations. Together, we are building the foundation for a robust and sustainable EV charging infrastructure in India."
“Indian Economy runs on 2 wheelers and 3 wheelers for both passenger and cargo mobility. With the increased penetration of e-commerce and quick commerce into Bharat, there is an imminent need for faster EV Charging solutions to the gig works. Right now, the entire EV market caters only to 4 wheelers and above when it comes to fast charging solutions leaving behind the 2 wheelers and 3 wheelers who actually need the fast charging solutions."
With the introduction of these LEVDC Chargers, an electric 2 wheeler can be charged in 10 mins and a 3 wheeler in 30 minutes thus support the campaign we launched called “Chai Pe Charge” The uniqueness of this product also eliminates the need for off board chargers which in general have very less life time owing to their rough usage, added Rajeev.
Tailored featuresThe LEVDC Chargers (EV 2W & 3W) stand out with features tailored to the needs of electric two- and three-wheeler manufacturers (OEMs). These chargers provide OEM-specific solutions, ensuring a perfect fit for unique operational requirements. Their fast charging capability minimizes downtime, enhancing efficiency for users. Built with Delta’s cutting-edge 4kW rectifier module, they deliver exceptional reliability and performance. And have wide range from 4KW LEVDC to 12 KWLEVDC. These chargers eliminate the need for off board chargers for OEMs and the vehicles can be fast charged directly.
Designed with e-commerce and gig workers in mind, these chargers support delivery partners by ensuring consistent mobility and reducing interruptions in operations. Furthermore, they are scalable for future growth, allowing seamless adaptation to the evolving demands of the electric vehicle market. Combining advanced technology with flexibility, LEVDC Chargers empower OEMs and end-users with a robust and efficient charging solution, setting a new benchmark in EV charging innovation.
