BYD will mark its presence at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo.
BYD currently sells three electric vehicles in India: the eMax7 MPV, the Atto 3 compact SUV, and the Seal sedan. The Chinese EV giant has received a positive response from Indian consumers so far, and it seems the brand is now trying to leverage that by introducing new models in our country. According to the Indian government's patent, design, and trademark database, BYD has filed design patents for the Bao 3 SUV and Bao 9 sports car.

BYD Bao 3 SUV
The BYD Bao 3 is an off-road-spec electric SUV. It features a bulky exterior design with chunky highlights such as flared wheel arches, high ground clearance, faux skid plates, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. At 4,605 mm, the Bao 3 is longer than the Hyundai Creta. It uses dual-electric motors that produce a combined 444 hp, allowing this two-tonne electric SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

BYD Bao 9 Sportscar
The BYD Bao 9 is on the far end of the automotive spectrum compared to the Bao 3. It is a two-seater, open-top electric speedster with scissor doors. The dual-cockpit Bao 9's design resembles a certain Lamborghini speedster, but that's okay, as it was designed by Wolfgang Egger, who once worked for Audi and Lamborghini.

BYD At the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo
BYD will mark its presence at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo. Though not confirmed yet, the EV-maker could display the Bao 3 and Bao 9 at the event. The existing models of the brand, such as the Atto 3, eMax7 mpv, and the Seal, will likely be on display.
