Panigale V4 Tricolore Ducati has unveiled the Panigale V4 Tricolore, a limited-edition motorcycle celebrating the 40th anniversary of the 750 F1 and Ducati's racing heritage. Only 1000 numbered units of this collector's bike will be produced, featuring a unique Tricolore livery inspired by the 1984 750 F1 and subsequent Ducati Superbikes. The unveiling took place during Art Basel week in Miami Beach, highlighting the motorcycle's artistic design and Ducati's successful racing year. The Panigale V4 Tricolore boasts performance enhancements like carbon fiber rims and an upgraded braking system, alongside aesthetic details such as a numbered steering plate and a dedicated motorcycle cover.
Owners have the exclusive option to purchase a limited-edition helmet and jacket with a color scheme matching the motorcycle. A tribute to 1984 750 F1
The Panigale V4 Tricolore pays homage to the 1984 750 F1, a pivotal model in Ducati's supersport history. This special edition motorcycle carries a modern interpretation of the 750 F1's Tricolore livery, a design element also featured on significant Ducati Superbikes since the 1988 851 Desmoquattro.
The Tricolore livery combines the colors of the Italian flag with the black and white of the checkered flag, symbolising victory. This design element is applied asymmetrically for the first time on a Ducati motorcycle. Number plates featuring the number one, similar to those on the Panigale V4 R and Multistrada Pikes Peak, adorn the front and sides of the fairing.
2024 has been a triumphant year for Ducati, with victories in MotoGP, Superbike, Supersport, and Motocross championships. Ducati secured the MotoGP Riders' and Manufacturers' titles for the third consecutive year, achieving nineteen wins out of twenty Grand Prix races. They also claimed the World Manufacturers' title in Superbike, the Riders' title in Supersport, and the Italian title in the 450 MX class. Further national victories include the Italian Superbike and the U.S. Superbike, marking Ducati's return to victory in the U.S. after thirty years. Ducati also celebrated historic success in the Japanese Superbike Championship with the Panigale V4 managed by the Kagayama team.
Design
The livery's design emphasises the motorcycle's aerodynamic surfaces, reflecting the stylistic shift from the sixth to the seventh generation of Ducati Superbikes with the 2025 Panigale V4. This latest generation incorporates advancements in aerodynamics, chassis design, and electronic systems like the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and Race eCBS.
The Panigale V4 Tricolore's design is a collaborative effort between Drudi Performance and the Centro Stile Ducati. The motorcycle is based on the new Panigale V4, which was introduced at World Ducati Week in July 2024.
Ducati chose Art Basel week in Miami Beach for the Panigale V4 Tricolore's public debut, collaborating with partner Eataly for an off-site event. This marks Ducati's third participation in Art Basel, emphasising the brand's connection with the art world.
Francesco Milicia, Vice President Global Sales, and Andrea Ferraresi, Director Strategy & Style Center, attended the unveiling, who stated,“In Miami and at Art Basel in particular we feel at home. Ducati is the only motorcycle brand able not only to combine sophisticated technology and sensual beauty, but also to break out of the typical schemes of sport liveries to create works of art, using the motorcycle as a canvas.”
Features
The Panigale V4 Tricolore incorporates several performance-enhancing features. The motorcycle is fitted with five-spoke carbon fiber rims, reducing weight by 0.950 kg compared to the forged rims of the Panigale V4 S. This weight reduction results in a 12% decrease in the moment of inertia at the front and a 19% decrease at the rear. These rims improve the bike's agility and enhance its ability to maintain trajectory during acceleration while leaning.
This limited-edition motorcycle is the first production bike equipped with the Front Brake Pro system. This system features two finned Brembo T-Drive discs, measuring 338.5 mm in diameter and 6.2 mm thick, improving braking power and consistency. These discs, tested by Ducati Factory Riders in the 2024 Race of Champions, are derived from racing discs used in the Superbike World Championship. They are paired with HypureTM calipers with titanium anodising and an oversized Brembo logo. The system also includes an MCS 19.21 front brake pump with remote brake lever position adjustment, similar to those used in MotoGP and Superbike.
Additional features include a dry clutch, adjustable footpegs made of solid aluminum, and a GPS module. For track use, the Panigale V4 Tricolore comes with a racing tank cap in solid aluminum, brake caliper conveyors, an open clutch cover in carbon fiber, and a kit for removing the license plate holder.
Further enhancing the riding experience are an Alcantara seat, racing plexiglass, and a dedicated dashboard animation at key-on. Each Panigale V4 Tricolore includes a machined aluminum steering plate displaying the model name and unit number. The package also includes a certificate of authenticity and a custom motorcycle cover, all delivered in a personalised box matching the motorcycle's livery. The model number is also displayed on the ignition key's aluminum plate.
