JSW MG Motor India unveiled its new luxury brand channel, MG Select, and previewed the MG Cyberster, an electric roadster featuring "India’s first-ever ‘Electric Scissor Doors’." The car aims to blend classic roadster design with modern technology and performance. The preview highlights JSW MG Motor India's commitment to innovation and luxury in the Indian automotive market.

Features

The electric scissor doors are a key feature of the MG Cyberster. They operate via a single-touch button on the interior console, key fob, or each door. The doors open and close in five seconds.

“A testament to the future of automotive design, the electric scissor doors operate from single-touch button across the interior console, key fob and each door in a rapid 5-second open and shut time,” the company stated.

Dual radar sensors on each door provide sideways and upward protection during opening, along with an anti-pinch feature for closing. These safety features ensure user protection during operation.

The MG Cyberster promises high performance and fast acceleration. Its design seeks to combine MG’s heritage with a forward-looking aesthetic. The car's silhouette and scissor doors are meant to evoke both nostalgia and a vision of the future.
