Lexus RX 350h
Lexus India reported a 56% year-on-year sales increase in November 2024 compared to November 2023. This contributes to a 17% overall sales growth for the calendar year to date. The growth is attributed to strong demand for Lexus' SUV models, particularly the RX, and the continued popularity of the ES sedan. The company has also implemented several customer-focused initiatives, including an extended warranty and roadside assistance program.

Lexus India experienced significant sales growth in November 2024, marking a 56% increase compared to the same month in 2023. This positive trend continues a strong performance throughout 2024, with a 17% rise in total sales compared to the same period in 2023.

Growing demand for SUVs

The company attributes this growth to robust demand across its luxury vehicle lineup. This is particularly evident in the SUV category, which saw a cumulative year-to-date growth of approximately 25%. Models like the NX and RX have been key drivers of this increase.

The Lexus RX model has been a standout performer, achieving a 50% growth for the year to date until November 2024. This highlights the SUV’s continued popularity and strong market position in India. The RX's success reflects Lexus' focus on providing premium and adaptable vehicles that align with changing consumer preferences.

The Lexus ES model also plays a crucial role in the brand's success. It represented 41% of Lexus India's total sales in November 2024. The consistent demand for the ES underscores its importance within the Lexus portfolio, driven by its craftsmanship, design, and appeal to Indian customers.

“We are deeply thankful to our guests for their trust and continued support. The growth in sales this year is a testament to the confidence our customers have in Lexus, as well as our commitment to delivering high-quality products and exceptional experiences. We will continue to engage and delight our guests by providing year end special offers and benefits on select models under the Lexus December to Remember campaign thereby strengthening the bond we share with them,” stated Tanmay Bhattacharya, Executive Vice President of Lexus India, expressing gratitude for the brand's strong performance.

Company's strategy to enhance customer experience

Since its entry into the Indian market in 2017, Lexus has focused on personalising luxury and embracing the Japanese philosophy of Omotenashi. This philosophy emphasises genuine luxury and deep respect for customers.

In a further move to enhance customer experience, Lexus India launched a 5-year Roadside Assistance (RSA) program on February 1, 2024. This program offers additional support and convenience for Lexus drivers.

Lexus India reinforced this commitment by introducing an industry-first 8-year/160,000 km vehicle warranty on all new Lexus models sold from June 1, 2024. This extensive warranty provides added value and peace of mind for Lexus owners.

Recognising the importance of vehicle aesthetics and protection, Lexus India introduced a high-quality factory body coating starting in August 2024. This feature enhances the appearance and durability of Lexus vehicles.
