Kia SyrosKia India has opened bookings for its new SUV, the Syros, starting January 3rd. The Syros aims to appeal to tech-savvy drivers with advanced features and a modern design. Bookings can be made online or at dealerships with a INR 25,000 deposit. Pricing will be revealed on February 1st, and deliveries will begin in mid-February.
The Syros is built on Kia's reinforced K1 platform. It targets modern urban drivers and adventurous individuals. Kia emphasizes the vehicle's blend of versatility and advanced technology. The exterior boasts a bold design, while the interior aims for a premium, lounge-like feel.

Features and design
The Syros includes a comprehensive safety package. This package comprises 20 high-standard safety features. It also offers 16 autonomous features with Level-2 Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS). Kia highlights this as best-in-class active safety.
The vehicle utilises Kia Connect 2.0. This system offers over-the-air (OTA) software updates. It can update 22 controllers within the vehicle. These updates ensure the Syros consistently has the latest software and features. Kia claims this is a first-in-segment feature.
Inside, the Syros features a 76.2cm (30-inch) Trinity Panoramic Display panel, which Kia calls a Connected Car Navigation Cockpit. This also includes a dual-pane panoramic sunroof. It also has customizable ambient lighting with 64 color options. Rear seat passengers benefit from recline, slide, and ventilation functions, also described as a first-in-segment offering. The boot space is adjustable to accommodate varying needs.
Variants
The Kia Syros will be available in six trims. Four standard trims are offered: HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+. Two optional trims, HTK(O) and HTX+(O), are also available. Two engine choices will be available. The first is a Smartstream 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine generating 88.3 kW (120PS) and 172Nm of torque. The second option is a 1.5-liter CRDi diesel engine producing 85 kW (116PS) and 250Nm of torque. Both engines are offered with automatic and manual transmission options.
With the launch of the Syros, Kia India aims to solidify its position in the Indian automotive market. The company focuses on innovation, design, and customer satisfaction with this new offering. Kia intends for the Syros to redefine the SUV segment in the market.
