Meanwhile, on Friday, the district administration launched Jaipur Parwah (Care) campaign to ensure compliance with traffic rules, reduce road accidents, and make people aware of road safety rules. The state transport minister, Prem Chand Bairwa, after a departmental review meeting on Friday, said, the department has written to the health department to start a joint campaign to get eye tests done for drivers of all commercial vehicles in the state.
While speaking to the media after the meeting, Bairwa said, "We are working with different departments to check all factors to improve road safety in the state. In the evening, high beam usage is also a cause of accidents as it affects visibility. Strict focus is on reducing black spots, checking fitness certificates of vehicles, following road safety norms, eye tests of drivers, along with coordinating with stakeholder departments like NHAI," said Bairwa.
