The CM sought the cooperation of the transport department to save Hyderabad from pollution.
The Telangana govt will unveil a comprehensive electric vehicle (EV) policy aimed at safeguarding the city's air quality and promoting the adoption of EVs throughout the state, chief minister A Revanth Reddy said on Monday.

Speaking at an event to distribute appointment letters to assistant motor vehicle inspectors, Revanth said the govt will deploy 3,000 electric buses within ORR limits and also introduce electric auto-rickshaws as part of this initiative.

He sought the cooperation of the transport department to save Hyderabad from pollution.

The CM, while highlighting the work done by the Congress govt, countered BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao's remark that in the last 10 months people have realised what they lost after voting for Congress. The CM said that people know they have lost nothing and they do not need the former CM. Except four people in KCR's family losing jobs, people of the state lost nothing, he said.

Revanth said in the past 10 months the state saw positive developments including employment opportunities for the jobless, debt relief for farmers through loan waivers and over one crore women travelling free of cost in RTC buses.
