Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is recalling certain GL1800 Gold Wing motorcycles manufactured between March 2018 and May 2021 due to a potential issue with the primary drive gear fastening bolt. This recall, aligned with a global action, aims to address the risk of the bolt breaking and causing the engine to stop.

Period of recall

Starting in the third week of December 2024, owners of affected motorcycles can have the faulty part replaced free of charge at Honda BigWing dealerships across India. This service is available regardless of the vehicle's warranty status.

Honda will be directly contacting owners of potentially affected motorcycles through various channels, including calls, emails, and SMS messages, to inform them about the recall and the inspection process.

Clarification through Honda BigWing website

To check if their motorcycle is included in the recall, owners can also enter their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on the Honda BigWing website.
